Demo and Siteworks
There is quite a lot involvement in concrete demo! Our licensed and experienced contractors use professional-grade heavy equipment when removing old foundations or driveways to make room for new construction. We handle our dumpsters in-house, making sure that all demolished concrete is disposed of properly and quickly.
Siteworks is a crucial step to a successful project. It involves preparing a construction site before the actual building work begins. This includes installing underground utilities, excavating extra material, leveling and draining the site, and other necessary tasks. Being a “Green” company, we take measures to have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment. For example, we utilize silt fence and similar methods to prevent soil erosion. We also do our best to protect local trees on the property from harm by barricading them off and using erosion control methods around them as well!
Grading and Forming
Once the site is cleared, it’s time to begin the grading process. Considering drainage is very important when grading. This is to prevent any future issues with water damage or soil erosion. At times, this means installing retaining walls or no-maintenance drainage systems. We make sure that these new features on your property are not just functional, but also practical and beautiful. If possible, we build underground drainage systems, keeping them out of sight. Grading also involves leveling the ground in preparation for concrete.
Now it’s time to build the forms. Concrete forms must be strong enough to hold back the weight of thousands of pounds of concrete. At times, these forms will include decorative aspects such as edging or reliefs, even techniques to give the finished concrete a design!
