Demo and Siteworks

Demo involves more than simply breaking up concrete. Our licensed and experienced contractors use professional-grade heavy equipment when removing old foundations or driveways to make room for new construction. We handle our dumpsters in-house, making sure that all demolished concrete is disposed of properly and quickly.

Siteworks is a crucial step to a successful project. It involves preparing a construction site before the actual building work begins. This includes installing underground utilities, excavating extra material, leveling and draining the site, and other necessary tasks. We take practical steps to protect the surrounding property during site preparation. This may include using silt fencing and other erosion-control methods to help keep soil in place, along with protecting nearby trees whenever possible.

Grading and Forming

Once the site is cleared, it’s time to begin the grading process. Considering drainage is very important when grading. This is to prevent any future issues with water damage or soil erosion. Depending on the property, this may include retaining walls or a drainage system designed for the site. We make sure that these new features on your property are not just functional, but also practical and beautiful. If possible, we build underground drainage systems, keeping them out of sight. Grading also involves leveling the ground in preparation for concrete.

Now it’s time to build the forms. Concrete forms must be strong enough to hold back the weight of thousands of pounds of concrete. At times, these forms will include decorative aspects such as edging or reliefs, even techniques to give the finished concrete a design!

Built for the Property

Concrete and foundation work needs to be done correctly from the start. Green Coast Living considers the structure, site conditions, drainage, and the demands of our Gulf Coast environment so the work is suited to your home and property.

The finished appearance matters too, especially for visible areas such as patios, driveways, garage floors, and outdoor pads. Depending on the project, concrete can be finished, sealed, stained, or stamped to complement the surrounding space. We coordinate with experienced concrete professionals we know and trust, bringing the right people together for each project.
